Fast & Furious 7

Fast & Furious 7 will be the next installment in the Fast and the Furious series following up from Fast & Furious 6 and Tokyo Drift. Justin Lin has announced he will not be directing. James Wan is signed on as director for the next film. Jason Statham will play the villain, Ian Shaw, brother of Owen Shaw (Luke Evans, Fast & Furious 6). Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Ludacris, and Jordana Brewster are all signed on for the film as their characters from previous films. Fast & Furious 7 rolls into theaters in 2015, next summer. Filming will start in September, 2013 only three months after the release of Fast 6.

In a post-credits scene, while Han is being chased in Tokyo (realigning the events from Tokyo Drift to the present time), he is hit by an oncoming car, resulting in Han’s car exploding, killing him and revealing that the crash was an orchestrated attack. The other car’s driver is revealed to be, Ian Shaw (Jason Statham), Owen Shaw’s older brother, walks away from the scene and calls Dominic, leaving him a threatening message saying “Dominic Toretto, you don’t know me, you’re about to”.
